Key Features of Lutron Sunnata Controls
Modern Touch and Swipe Control
Sunnata dimmers use an illuminated vertical light bar: touch it to set a level, or slide a finger up or down to fine-tune brightness. The main paddle handles familiar on and off operation: press the top to fade on, the bottom to fade off, double-tap the top for rapid full brightness, or press and hold the bottom for a 30-second delayed fade to off. The light bar also serves as a locator light in a dark room, and its brightness is adjustable.
Every Sunnata local control includes a Front Accessible Service Switch (FASS) so lamps can be changed safely without going to the panel.
RadioRA 3 Sunnata devices communicate on Clear Connect Type X at 2.4 GHz in a wireless mesh, allowing compatible dimmers, switches, fan controls, and keypads to operate as part of a professionally programmed whole-home system.
Coordinated Controls Throughout Your Home
The Sunnata family keeps one consistent appearance across lighting dimmers (RRST-PRO-N), on/off switches (RRST-8ANS), fan controls (RRST-ANF), companion dimmers and switches (RRST-RD, RRST-RS), scene keypads, and hybrid keypads.
Sunnata RadioRA 3 keypads are available in three configurations: two-button (RRST-W2B), three-button with raise/lower (RRST-W3RL), and four-button (RRST-W4B). Sunnata hybrid keypads, a dimmer and keypad in one device, useful in retrofits, are offered in the same three layouts (RRST-HN2B, RRST-HN3RL, RRST-HN4B).
Every keypad ships with default markings plus one redeemable credit for a custom-personalized button kit ordered through Lutron Designer. Field-replaceable button kits let the engraving, button count, and configuration be changed after installation without replacing the keypad. Up to twenty-four gloss and Satin Colors finishes are published for the RadioRA 3 Sunnata family, four gloss and twenty satin, although availability varies by device and model. The controls and matching Claro wallplates can coordinate with paint, stone, tile, cabinetry, and architectural hardware. Note that RadioRA 3 Sunnata dimmers, companion dimmers, switches, and companion switches are not field colorizable.

Personalized Lighting Scenes
One keypad button can adjust several lighting circuits and motorized shades to predetermined levels.
Multi-Location Dimming
Up to four Sunnata companion dimmers can be wired to one Sunnata dimmer (and up to four companion switches to one switch), giving matching touch control from as many as five locations. Total companion wire length may run up to 150 ft. The Sunnata dimmer or switch must be installed on the load side of a multi-location circuit.
App and Schedule Control
Control the home from the Lutron app and program lighting to operate automatically based on time, sunrise, sunset, occupancy, or customized routines. MyLevel personalization exposes high-end trim, low-end trim, preset level, light-bar brightness, and phase selection; once a device is commissioned into a system, those settings are driven by the system programming instead.
Professional Dimming and Reliable Communication

Broad Load Compatibility: The Sunnata PRO LED+ dimmer (RRST-PRO-N) handles 250 W of LED/CFL, 500 W of incandescent, halogen, or ELV, or 400 VA MLV when not ganged. Derating applies when ganged.

Phase-Selectable Dimming: Forward- or reverse-phase, with reverse phase as the factory default.

RTISS Technology: Circuitry compensates in real time for incoming line-voltage variations (RRST-PRO-N only).

Switch and Fan Ratings: RRST-8ANS switches 8 A of lighting or a 1/4 HP, 5.8 A motor. RRST-ANF controls one 1.5 A paddle-type AC ceiling fan, single-pole only, not DC fans, fans with their own remotes, Wi-Fi-only fans, exhaust fans, or the light kit on a fan.

Designer Finishes: Up to twenty-four published gloss and Satin Colors finishes, depending on the device and model.

Neutral Requirement: All RadioRA 3 Sunnata dimmers, switches, fan controls, keypads, and hybrid keypads require a neutral connection. Keypads run on 120-277 V; dimmers, switches, and fan controls on 120 V.

RF Placement: Sunnata devices must sit within 75 ft of a centrally located RadioRA 3 processor, and each device needs at least two other non-battery Clear Connect Type X devices within 25 ft. Companion dimmers and switches are not Type X devices and have no range requirement.

Wallbox Depth: 3½ in deep recommended, 2¼ in minimum (2½ in minimum for the RRST-ANF fan control). Use a metal wallbox in concrete or stone walls for best wireless performance.
Lutron Sunnata Installation and Programming in NJ
Proper installation requires confirming the lighting load, neutral availability, compatible companion devices, wallbox depth, processor placement, mesh density, and programming requirements. Sunnata dimmers should never be installed to control receptacles or motor-operated appliances.
